It was a game that was originally abandoned by its developers so some fans remade the game with the help of crowdfunding. They met their goal. The original developers gave all their code to the team to remake the game. It runs on Unreal Engine 4. They needed money to pay developers to make the game.
Corporate Finance - Corporate Finance is when a large company, usually the owner, invests in a product in hopes that it will be successful and the shareholders can make back more money that they put in.
Sponsorship - Sponsorship is when a company gives money to the producers and then the producers will feature the product in the media as a source of advertising. Example Coca Cola might pay some TV Producers to place a coke can in a focas area of the scene. Also called product placement
